Kentucky High School Basketball - Boone County nips Augusta
December 12, 2023: Florence, KY 41042 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Boone County Rebels (Florence, KY) and the visiting Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY), saw Boone County's basketball squad hold off Augusta by a tally of 79-72.
With the victory, Boone County improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Ryle (Union, KY) to play the Raiders in a District 33 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Ryle lost 66-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Newport (Newport, KY)
Next up, the Panthers play the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) in a District 39 challenge, on Friday, December 15. Augusta will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 70-43 non-league loss to Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY).
