Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bishop Canevin Crusaders (Pittsburgh, PA), 79-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Belle Vernon upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to McKeesport (McKeesport, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Bishop Canevin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Antelopes come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to Hampton (Allison Park, PA).
