Kentucky High School Basketball - Bourbon County tops Bluegrass United
December 12, 2023: Paris, KY 40361 Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bluegrass United Bluehawks (Lexington, KY), 63-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Bourbon County upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY) to play the Indians in a District 40 bout on Friday, December 15. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Montgomery County lost 86-45 in their recent non-league bout against Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY)
Next up, the Bluehawks play the Louisville Saints HomeSchool Saints (Louisville, KY) in a Ohio River HomeSchool bout, on Friday, December 15. Bluegrass United will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 64-61 non-league win over Kentucky Country Day (Louisville, KY).
