December 12, 2023: Waco, TX 76705 Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 50-38 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lorena upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Leopards host McGregor (McGregor, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-6. McGregor lost 55-52 in their recent non-league bout against Gatesville (Gatesville, TX)
Next up, the Cadets clash with the Trinity Leadership Tigers (Cedar Hill, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Connally will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 59-34 non-league win over Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX).
