December 12, 2023: De Soto, WI 54624 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the De Soto Pirates (De Soto, WI) and the visiting Viroqua Blackhawks (Viroqua, WI), saw De Soto's basketball squad hold off Viroqua by a tally of 53-46.
With the victory, De Soto improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Weston (Cazenovia, WI) to confront the Silver Eagles in a Ridge & Valley challenge on Friday, December 15. The Silver Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Weston won 55-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI)
Next up, the Blackhawks confront the Black River Falls Tigers (Black River Falls, WI) in a Coulee challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Viroqua will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 62-56 league loss to Arcadia (Arcadia, WI).
