Mississippi High School Basketball - Richland ripped by Jefferson Davis County
December 12, 2023: Bassfield, MS 39421 The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Richland Rangers to 30 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Jaguars now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawrence County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Jefferson Davis County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 44-40 non-league loss to Franklin County (Meadville, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 2-10.
The Rangers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS). The Chiefs enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Pelahatchie was routed by Pearl (Pearl, MS), 71-49, in a non-league contest.
