Missouri High School Basketball - Monroe City holds off Mark Twain
December 12, 2023: Center, MO 63436 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO) and the host Mark Twain Tigers (Center, MO), saw Monroe City's basketball squad hold off Mark Twain by a tally of 67-60.
With the victory, Monroe City improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to North Shelby (Shelbyville, MO) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. North Shelby lost 58-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Westran (Huntsville, MO)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Bowling Green Bobcats (Bowling Green, MO) in a Eastern Missouri challenge, on Monday, December 18. Mark Twain will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 49-37 non-league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
