Wisconsin High School Basketball - Markesan can't hold off Waterloo
December 12, 2023: Waterloo, WI 53594 The Waterloo Pirates basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Markesan Hornets to 54 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbus for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Waterloo will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 68-51 non-league loss to DeForest (DeForest, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-3.
The Hornets (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pardeeville (Pardeeville, WI). The Bulldogs enter the Trailways - West contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Pardeeville nudged Cambria-Friesland (Cambria, WI), 61-36, in a league contest.
