Maine High School Basketball - Sanford winner over Marshwood
December 12, 2023: South Berwick, ME 03908 The Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) basketball felled the host Marshwood Hawks (South Berwick, ME), 68-54 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Deering (Portland, ME). The Rams go into the AA South test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Deering went down by Thornton Academy (Saco, ME), 52-50, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Biddeford for a A South test on Friday, December 15. Marshwood will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 56-55 non-league loss to Wells (Wells, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
