Arkansas High School Basketball - Riverside fells Pocahontas
December 12, 2023: Lake City, AR 72437 Riverside Rebels (Lake City, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR), 68-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Riverside upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Rebels host East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR) to play the Warriors in a 2A Region 3 bout on Thursday, December 14. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-1. East Poinsett County won 60-59 in their recent league bout against Bay (Bay, AR)
Next up, the Redskins play the Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, December 14. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 57-49 league loss to Southside (Batesville, AR).
