Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Academy of the New Church nips Germantown Friends
December 12, 2023: Bryn Athyn, PA 19009 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) and the visiting Germantown Friends (Philadelphia, PA), saw Academy of the New Church's basketball squad hold off Germantown Friends by a tally of 46-39.
With the victory, Academy of the New Church improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pennington (Pennington, NJ) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Pennington lost 59-34 in their recent non-league challenge against George School (Newtown, PA)
Next up, the play the Girard College Cavaliers (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Germantown Friends will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 35-23 league loss to Mastery (Camden, NJ).
