The Apollo Hawks basketball team (Glendale, AZ), dropped 43-35 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Youngker Roughriders (Buckeye, AZ)

The Roughriders now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a 5A Central Valley battle on Tuesday, December 19. Youngker will confront a Patriots team coming off a 58-14 non-league loss to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Patriots record now stands at 1-7.

The Hawks (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs come into the 5A Northwest battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Sunrise Mountain beat Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ), 65-20, in a non-league battle.
