Nebraska High School Basketball - Bruning-Davenport/Shickley topped by Sutton
December 12, 2023: Sutton, NE 68979 The Sutton Mustangs basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles to 21 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Cecilia for a C2 District 9 contest on Friday, December 15. Sutton will battle a Bluehawks team coming off a 53-10 non-league win over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE). The Bluehawks record now stands at 3-1.
The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cross County (Stromsburg, NE). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Cross County prevailed over Meridian (Daykin, NE), 57-31, in a non-league contest.
