Texas High School Basketball - Goliad tops Sinton
December 12, 2023: Goliad, TX 77963 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) and the visiting Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX), saw Goliad's basketball squad knock off Sinton by a count of 36-20.
With the victory, Goliad upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host La Vernia (La Vernia, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. La Vernia won 60-29 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Pirates play the Rockport-Fulton Pirates (Rockport, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Friday, December 15. Sinton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 36-19 league loss to Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX).
