Illinois High School Basketball - Vernon Hills ripped by Hampshire
December 12, 2023: Vernon Hills, IL 60061 The Hampshire Whip-Purs basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Vernon Hills Cougars to 36 in the Whip-Purs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Whip-Purs now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crystal Lake Central for a Fox Valley contest on Friday, December 15. Hampshire will battle a Tigers team coming off a 46-32 league win over Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 4-6.
The Cougars (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings enter the Central Suburban - North contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Niles North was routed by Niles West (Skokie, IL), 58-44, in a league contest.
