December 12, 2023: Porter, TX 77365 The Porter Spartans basketball team (Porter, TX), was overwhelmed 50-25 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX)
The Hawks now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Fork for a 4A Region III District 20 battle on Friday, December 15. Hardin-Jefferson will confront a Gators team coming off a 46-40 league loss to Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Gators record now stands at 2-10.
The Spartans (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Deer Park (Deer Park, TX). The Deer come into the non-league battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Deer Park trounced Dobie (Houston, TX), 54-28, in a league battle.
