The St. Johns Redwings basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Ionia Bulldogs to 37 in the Redwings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redwings now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern for a Capital Area - Red contest on Thursday, December 14.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Portland (Portland, MI). The Raiders enter the Capital Area - White contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Portland ran past Grand Ledge (Grand Ledge, MI), 64-29, in a non-league contest.
