Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks (Fort Lauderdale, FL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Mater Lakes Academy Bears (Miami, FL), 60-46 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Archbishop McCarthy upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Reagan (Doral, FL) to face the Bison in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Bison enter the match with a record of 8-2. Reagan won 63-36 in their recent non-league match against IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)

The Bears now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Miami for a non-league match on Monday, December 16. Mater Lakes Academy will face a Stingarees squad coming off a 75-59 non-league win over Coral Gables (Coral Gables, FL). The Stingarees record now stands at 6-2.
