December 12, 2024: Mahnomen, MN 56557 The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds basketball team scored 74 points and limited the visiting Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators to 73 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Thursday.
The Thunderbirds now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cass Lake-Bena for a A Section 8 game on Saturday, December 14.
With the loss, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Gators host Sacred Heart (East Grand Forks, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-3.
