Iowa High School Basketball - Regina thwarts Benton
December 12, 2024: Iowa City, IA 52245 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Regina Regals (Iowa City, IA) and the visiting Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA), observed Regina's basketball team knock off Benton by a score of 62-48.
The Regals (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Beavers come into the River Valley challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Wilton was knocked off by Northeast (Goose Lake, IA), 81-43, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bobcats encounter the Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Benton will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 54-43 non-league loss to Grinnell (Grinnell, IA).
