December 12, 2024: DeWitt, AR 72042 DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Carlisle Bison (Carlisle, AR), 70-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, DeWitt advances its record to 3-5 on the year. The Dragons host Central (West Helena, AR) to meet the Cougars in a 3A Region 8 match on Friday, December 13. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 3-10. Central lost 66-65 in their recent league match against Drew Central (Monticello, AR)
The Bison now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barton for a 2A Region 6 match on Friday, December 13. Carlisle will meet a Bears squad coming off a 76-47 league win over Des Arc (Des Arc, AR). The Bears record now stands at 7-2.
