Iowa High School Basketball - Newell-Fonda knocks off Bishop Garrigan
December 12, 2024: Algona, IA 50511 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs basketball team scored a good 76-60 win over the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears.
The Mustangs (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Sac County (Lake View, IA). The Raiders come into the Twin Lakes contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, East Sac County defeated Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA), 41-20, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Bears battle the Eagle Grove Eagles (Eagle Grove, IA) in a North Central contest, on Friday, December 13. Bishop Garrigan will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 57-27 non-league loss to Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA).
