December 12, 2024: Devils Lake, ND 58301 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) and the visiting Bottineau Braves/Stars (Bottineau, ND), observed Devils Lake's basketball team overwhelm Bottineau by a score of 59-29.
The Firebirds (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrington (Carrington, ND). The Cardinals come into the A Region 2 challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Carrington trounced Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND), 56-23, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Braves/Stars battle the St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Bottineau will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Woodchucks come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 55-37 non-league loss to Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] (Leeds, ND).
