December 12, 2024: Lanham, MD 20706 The Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) basketball were winner over the host Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors (Lanham, MD), 63-50 in Thursday's league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Hill for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. Virginia Academy will play a Longhorns team coming off a 72-42 non-league win over Hays (Buda, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to play the Cadets in a Washington Catholic bout on Saturday, December 14. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 6-0. St. John's won 55-49 in their recent non-league bout against Whitney Young (Chicago, IL)
