December 12, 2025: Pineland, TX 75968 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the West Sabine Tigers (Pineland, TX) and the visiting Alto Yellowjackets (Alto, TX), witnessed West Sabine's basketball squad hold off Alto by a count of 49-46.
With the victory, West Sabine advances its record to 3-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to San Augustine (San Augustine, TX) to meet the Wolves in a 2A Region III District 24 battle on Friday, January 2. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 3-0.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets encounter the Gary Bobcats (Gary, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, December 16. Alto will attempt to advance on its 0-11 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 12-4 record after their 57-35 non-league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, TX).
