In Friday's non-league contest, the host Winside Wildcats basketball team scored a close 56-53 triumph over the Bloomfield Bees.

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Newman Grove/St. Edward (Newman Grove, NE). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Newman Grove/St. Edward was tipped by Madison (Madison, NE), 69-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bees confront the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 13. Bloomfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE).
