The Hutto Hippos basketball squad (Hutto, TX), was outscored 83-70 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Bowie Bulldogs (Austin, TX)

With the victory, Bowie advances its record to 16-1 on the year. The Bulldogs host Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX) to meet the Tigers in a 6A Region IV District 26 battle on Saturday, December 20. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 8-7. Dripping Springs won 48-34 in their recent non-league battle against Brentwood Christian (Austin, TX)

The Hippos now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Navarro for a non-league challenge on Monday, December 15. Hutto will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 70-31 non-league loss to Manor New Tech (Manor, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 0-9.
