Kansas High School Basketball - Ellsworth toppled by Central Plains
December 12, 2025: Ellsworth, KS 67439 Central Plains Oilers (Claflin, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Ellsworth Bearcats (Ellsworth, KS), 53-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Central Plains upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Oilers host Chase (Chase, KS) to face the Kats in a Central Prairie match on Tuesday, December 16. The Kats go into the contest with a record of 1-4. Chase lost 54-42 in their recent non-league contest against Natoma (Natoma, KS)
In their next game, the Bearcats confront the Minneapolis Lions (Minneapolis, KS) in a North Central AA contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Ellsworth will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
