Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon toppled by Standley Lake

December 12, 2025: Westminster, CO 80021

Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO), 52-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Standley Lake advances its record to 3-0 on the year. The Gators travel to Centaurus (Lafayette, CO) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, December 13. The Warriors go into the contest with a record of 5-0. Centaurus won 58-43 in their recent non-league contest against Poudre (Fort Collins, CO)

In their next game, the Thunder confront the Poudre Impalas (Fort Collins, CO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 13. Discovery Canyon will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Impalas go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 59-52 non-league win over Roosevelt (Johnstown, CO).
