Louisiana High School Basketball - Hornbeck can't hold off Vinton
December 12, 2025: Vinton, LA 70668 Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hornbeck Hornets (Hornbeck, LA), 52-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Vinton advances its record to 6-1 on the year. The Lions travel to South Cameron (Creole, LA) to face the Tarpons in a non-league match on Monday, December 15. The Tarpons enter the match with a record of 2-2. South Cameron lost 66-22 in their recent non-league match against Basile (Basile, LA)
The Hornets now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Merryville for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 13. Hornbeck will battle a Panthers team coming off a 68-51 non-league loss to Vinton (Vinton, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.
