The Independence Knights defeated the host Ranchview Wolves basketball squad by a final score of 60-45 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Knights clash with the Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 outing, on Friday, December 19. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Mavericks come into the outing with a 6-10 record after their 70-58 non-league win over Temple (Temple, TX).

The Wolves (6-9) will now prepare for their game against Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Rams go into the non-league game with a 13-4 record. In their last game, Montwood was beaten by Paris (Paris, TX), 50-47, in a non-league game.
