With the victory, Overton advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Mustangs host East Chambers (Winnie, TX) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 13. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 9-2. East Chambers won 75-40 in their recent non-league match against Sabine (Gladewater, TX)
The Lions now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anderson-Shiro for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. Lovelady will face a Fighting Owls squad coming off a 62-41 non-league loss to Crockett (Crockett, TX). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 5-7.
