California High School Basketball - Apple Valley thwarts Hillcrest

December 12, 2025: Riverside, CA 92503

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Apple Valley Sun Devils (Apple Valley, CA) and the host Hillcrest Trojans (Riverside, CA), observed Apple Valley's basketball team knock off Hillcrest by a score of 42-31.

The Sun Devils (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Rialto (Rialto, CA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Rialto prevailed over Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA), 51-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Valley View Eagles (Moreno Valley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, December 15. Hillcrest will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 41-36 non-league loss to La Quinta (La Quinta, CA).
