Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX), 56-21 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Brenham upgrades its record to 16-4 on the year. The Cubs travel to Montgomery (Montgomery, TX) to face the Bears in a 5A Region III District 17 match on Tuesday, December 16. The Bears enter the match with a record of 12-4. Montgomery won 66-62 in their recent league match against College Station (College Station, TX)

In their next game, the Bears confront the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans (Austin, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Bastrop will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record.
