California High School Basketball - El Capitan triumphant over Mountain House
December 12, 2025: Merced, CA 95348 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) and the visiting Mountain House Mustangs (Mountain House, CA), witnessed El Capitan's basketball squad rout Mountain House by a score of 63-36.
The Gauchos (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Escalon (Escalon, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Escalon trounced Venture Academy (Stockton, CA), 51-46, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Gregori Jaguars (Modesto, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, December 13. Mountain House will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 5-4 record after their 49-28 non-league win over Beyer (Modesto, CA).
