The Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Estancia Bears to 38 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Buffaloes now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Roswell for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Melrose will confront a Coyotes team coming off a 64-13 non-league win over Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, Estancia drops to 3-2 on the year. The Bears travel to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM) to clash with the Horsemen in a non-league outing on Thursday, December 18.
