California High School Basketball - Modoc can't hold off Ferndale

December 12, 2025: Alturas, CA 96101

The Ferndale Wildcats nudged the host Modoc Braves basketball team by a margin of 43-41 in Friday's non-league game.

The Wildcats now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Ferndale will confront a Wolves team coming off a 70-38 non-league win over Tulelake (Tulelake, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Modoc falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Hoopa Valley (Hoopa, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league outing on Saturday, December 13. The Warriors enter the outing with a record of 2-6. Hoopa Valley lost 42-39 in their recent non-league outing against McKinleyville (McKinleyville, CA)
