In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Lexington Eagles basketball team scored a close 46-43 triumph over the Port Aransas Marlins.

The Eagles now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Schulenburg for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Lexington will confront a Shorthorns team coming off a 75-46 league loss to Flatonia (Flatonia, TX). The Shorthorns record now stands at 5-4.
