The Shannon Red Raiders basketball team (Shannon, MS), was routed 67-36 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS)

The Golden Wave (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Jaguars come into the 7A Region 1 challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, DeSoto Central was routed by Lafayette (Oxford, MS), 34-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Amory Panthers (Amory, MS) in a 4A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Shannon will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 72-34 non-league loss to Hatley (Amory, MS).
