Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin knocked off by Big Walnut
December 13, 2022: Sunbury, OH 43074 The Big Walnut Golden Eagles basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Elgin Comets to 50 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Worthington Kilbourne for a Ohio Capital - Capital contest on Friday, December 16. Big Walnut will meet a Wolves team coming off a 52-41 league loss to Hayes (Delaware, OH). The Wolves record now stands at 3-1.
The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Tigers enter the Northwest Central contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Waynesfield-Goshen was defeated by Jackson Center (Jackson Center, OH), 60-19, in a non-league contest.
