Pennsylvania High School Basketball - St. Joseph overwhelmed by Burrell
December 13, 2022: Natrona Heights, PA 15065 The Burrell Bucs basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host St. Joseph Spartans to 28 in the Bucs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Bucs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shady Side Academy for a WPIAL 3A 3 contest on Friday, December 16. Burrell will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 73-44 non-league win over Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-1.
The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Leechburg (Leechburg, PA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Leechburg was routed by Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA), 95-92, in a non-league contest.
