The Whitewright Tigers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Ector Eagles to 49 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bonham for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 15. Whitewright will battle a Warriors team coming off a 38-35 non-league loss to Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-11.

The Eagles (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Miller Grove (Cumby, TX). The Hornets enter the 1A Region III District 23 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Miller Grove nudged Avinger (Avinger, TX), 46-31, in a non-league contest.
