In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX), by a margin of 49-45.

The Lions (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Wranglers go into the non-league outing with a 2-5 record.

The Pirates now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Life Waxahachie for a non-league outing on Friday, December 16. Poteet will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 74-41 non-league win over Lake Country Christian (Fort Worth, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-4.
