December 13, 2022: Shelby, OH 44875 The Shelby Whippets defeated the visiting Willard Crimson Flashes basketball team by a tally of 80-72 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Whippets now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a Mid-Ohio - Red battle on Friday, December 16. Shelby will confront a Fighting Scots team coming off a 51-37 league loss to Marion Harding (Marion, OH). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 2-2.
The Crimson Flashes (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, OH). The Rockets come into the Sandusky Bay - Bay battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Oak Harbor was toppled by Woodmore (Elmore, OH), 55-32, in a non-league battle.
