December 13, 2022: Azle, TX 76020 The Azle Hornets basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Lake Country Christian Eagles to 25 in the Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Hornets now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granbury for a 5A Region I District 5 match on Friday, December 16. Azle will meet a Pirates team coming off a 58-41 league win over Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 11-5.
With the defeat, Lake Country Christian moves to 10-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Pantego Christian (Arlington, TX) to meet the Panthers in a TAPPS 4A District 1 match on Friday, December 16. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 9-5. Pantego Christian lost 35-30 in their recent non-league match against Poetry Community Christian (Poetry, TX)
