Texas High School Basketball - Copperas Cove holds off Connally
December 13, 2022: Waco, TX 76705 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs (Copperas Cove, TX) and the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), saw Copperas Cove's basketball squad hold off Connally by a tally of 38-35.
With the victory, Copperas Cove improves its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs host Bryan (Bryan, TX) to confront the Vikings in a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, December 16. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Bryan won 52-28 in their recent league challenge against Temple (Temple, TX)
Next up, the Cadets confront the Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 19. Connally will attempt to improve on its 14-5 season record.
