Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin Academy nips Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family
December 13, 2022: Elgin, IL 60120 Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL), 16-13 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elgin Academy upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Chicago University (Chicago, IL) to play the Maroons in a bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Chicago University lost 47-16 in their recent non-league bout against Christ the King (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the play the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots (Monee, IL) in a bout, on Thursday, December 15. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 63-24 non-league win over Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN).
