Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Academy for Urban Scholars overwhelms Wilmington
December 13, 2023: New Wilmington, PA 16142 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Academy for Urban Scholars Hawks (Youngstown, OH) and the host Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), saw Academy for Urban Scholars's basketball squad wallop Wilmington by a count of 63-35.
With the victory, Academy for Urban Scholars upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Aquinas (Louisville, OH) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Aquinas won 46-42 in their recent league challenge against Rootstown (Rootstown, OH)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 62-23 non-league win over Northwestern (Albion, PA).
