Arizona High School Basketball - Valley Lutheran tops Desert Heights Prep

Valley Lutheran Flames (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ), 66-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Valley Lutheran upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Flames host Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Roadrunners in a 1A East bout on Thursday, December 14. The Roadrunners come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf lost 63-26 in their recent non-league bout against New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM)

Next up, the Yote play the Mayer Wildcats (Mayer, AZ) in a 1A Central bout, on Monday, December 18. Desert Heights Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 48-40 non-league loss to San Pasqual Valley (Winterhaven, CA).
