December 13, 2023: Erlanger, KY 41018 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts (Erlanger, KY) and the visiting Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY), saw Lloyd Memorial's basketball squad hold off Newport Central Catholic by a count of 53-46.
With the victory, Lloyd Memorial upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Juggernauts travel to Ludlow (Ludlow, KY) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Thoroughbreds play the Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
